Therapeutic Massage and Deep Tissue Massage at Lynne March and Associates

Therapeutic Massage

Allows for the focus of a session to be on the physical body itself.  Usually this type of session is reserved for pain relief and corrective measures for the soft tissue.  Sessions are designed to work one area at a time.  Therapeutic sessions allot for focused time in specific areas to palpate painful areas and to begin soft tissue rehabilitation using the following techniques:

  • Sports Massage
  • St. John's method of Neuro-Muscular Therapy
  • Trigger Point Release
  • Myofascial Release Techniques

Deep Tissue Massage

This type of work allows for more focus of intention on the body itself along with relaxation for your whole being. The intention of the work is on the anatomy and physiology of your body through touch that is firm and at varying depth levels, hence the title "deep tissue massage".

Whether by touch or finesse of touch by the therapist, the work will attempt to work firmly on musculature that is tight, achy, sore, as well as relieve deep stress from the body itself through the use of oils.  The intention is not to rehab one area so much as it is to release pain and stress from the entire body.

Session: 1/2 hour to 1½ hours in length.
